TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — It’s the biggest on-field question of the season: who will be QB1? With the contest for Jayden Daniels unresolved after spring practice, Arizona State brought a big name into the fray. In an unusual move these days, Emory Jones was awaiting assignment in Florida and became the Gators’ starter a year ago. While it’s been a challenging season for the Gators, Jones had some impressive moments. When Florida made a coaching change after the year, Jones entered the portal and decided to come west to Tempe.
In this episode, Emory and I discuss why he decided to become a Sun Devil, the lessons he’s learned from playing in the SEC, his aptitude for offense, his leadership style, building rapport with his receivers, and much more.
