Queen Letizia weight loss: Royal stays slim by avoiding a drink

Queen Letizia became a member of the Spanish royal family in 2004 when she married Felipe VI. of Spain married. The royal was a journalist in her previous life and often appeared on Spanish television. The 49-year-old doesn’t look too different from her days in the media – how does she keep in such good shape?

Thanks to a balanced diet and plenty of exercise, Letizia looks stunning at 49.

Although the Spanish Queen was criticized for her weight when she first joined the Spanish royal family in 2004 (because she was too skinny), Letizia has since revealed that she eats a lot.

The mother-of-two said: “I have no problem. I eat a lot.

“That’s me, that’s my body type.”

Letizia reportedly makes sure to eat a mix of healthy ingredients, including fish, eggs, kale and spinach.

During a visit to the Torrejoncillos school in Cáceres, Spain, the 49-year-old explained that her favorite foods are vegetables, fruit, salads and purees.

These make up parts of the Perricone and Mediterranan diets, and Letizia reportedly follows both.

The Mediterranean diet is high in fruit and vegetables, as well as protein and healthy fats.

This diet has been endorsed by many nutritionists including Dr. Michael Mosley, called “one of the healthiest diets in the world”.

The one after Dr. The Perricone Diet, on the other hand, is a diet consisting of high-protein foods, non-starchy vegetables, fruits, nuts, yogurt, olive oil, and whole grains — similar to the Mediterranean diet.

Many celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss, have reportedly followed the Perricone Diet.

Letizia also tries to avoid sugar and doesn’t often touch ready meals, frozen foods, or pizzas.

Exercise is just as important as diet to lose weight and stay in shape and Letizia makes sure she works out often.

“When she trains, she does it 100 percent. If she practices yoga, she wouldn’t stop until she knows as much as her teacher. She is like that with everything, including her body. She is extremely careful about what she eats.”

Another close friend shared the Queen’s fitness routine, explaining that the King also joins in when he’s around.

They said: “The Queen does weight exercises every other day. She always recommends them when someone asks her. If the king is free, he would go to her gym too.”
