An Australian mother of three has detailed how she lost a whopping 110 pounds in just 18 months using a weight loss challenge and portion control.
Jasmine Ready, who lives in Queensland with her family, has embarked on two successful weight loss journeys using The Healthy Mummy’s workouts and cooking tips.
Growing up, Ms. Ready admitted she “never really was into fitness” and watched the number on the scale steadily increase — until having kids made her more determined than ever to get in shape.
“I’ve been overweight my whole life and the only thing I don’t want is for my kids to follow the same path as me,” she said.

Ms. Ready had tried a number of different strategies before following The Healthy Mummy’s 28-Day Weight Loss Challenge, including cutting out foods, exercising constantly and opting for “healthier meals.”
“I want to be positive about my body and show my little ones the importance of eating good food and taking care of themselves too.”

“The aha moment for me was when I realized the best thing to do was watch my portion sizes. I’ve learned that you don’t have to cut out certain food groups to lose weight,” she said.
“By reducing my portion sizes and preparing meals, my family’s grocery bill has now dropped by $400 a month!”
After completing the 28-day challenge and losing 85 pounds in the process, Ms. Ready continued to lose weight simply by using the program’s app and monitoring her food intake.
“My success has been that I don’t eat after 7 p.m., eat five times a day and exercise 30 minutes a day,” she said.
‘My food diary is very boring, but it’s easy and cheap.’
Breakfast used to start with a smoothie, but now Ms. Ready makes Weetbix overnight to get her on the go quickly.
Morning tea is watermelon before preparing a fresh sandwich with meat and salad for lunch.

Afternoon tea is watermelon again, followed by an Uncle Toby’s Milo bar before a dinner of either meat and vegetable casserole, apricot chicken casserole, risotto, spaghetti or pumpkin soup.
Additionally, Jasmine is a big fan of The Healthy Mummy’s smoothies, with salted caramel being her favorite.
“I love the smoothie range so quick and easy, my favorite flavor is salted caramel belly powder with strawberries and milk,” she said
“Set small goals and small rewards. I’ve always been happy when I’ve lost all five kilos and rewarded myself with either new gym clothes, hair or a pedicure.”
